Research Assistants

I am currently a freshman at Clemson University with a major in Genetics. I spend a lot of my time doing school work, but also make time for friends and fun. I am a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and hope to become involved with Clemson LIFE (Learning Is For Everyone) and a choral group.

Layla Wheelon

I am a freshman at Clemson University where I study psychology and minor in creative writing. Outside of the lab, I am involved in the Dixon Fellows Program, which fosters intellectual growth and student-faculty connections. I also promote wellness and challenge stigmas around mental health alongside a student organization called C.C.A.R.E. After graduation, my goal is to pursue a doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. 

Elizabeth Johnston

I am a senior in Psychology with a concentration in Life Sciences at Clemson University planning to graduate after this coming summer semester. Once graduated, I wish to become a Medical Assistant until I have enough experience hours to attend grad school to become a Physician's Assistant. Outside of school, I volunteer at the Clemson Free Clinic and I am a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success.

Morgan Davis

I am a junior Health Science major and Public Policy minor at Clemson University. Besides helping with the SHAARP lab, I am also a student advisor with Clemson’s student Judicial Board as well as the co-chair for outreach and recruitment efforts with Clemson’s Black Honors Association. After college, I plan to take a gap year (or two), to work in a clinical position, before I apply to medical school.

Lucy Jacobs

I am a senior at Clemson University studying Psychology with a minor concentration in Business. After graduation I plan to go into industrial organization psychology. 

John Zarnowski

I am a junior at Clemson University studying computer science with two minors in cybersecurity and business administration. Outside of SHAARP, I work as an assistant manager at Play It Again Sports Westmont: a small retail franchise in Illinois that specializes in buying and selling used sporting goods. After graduation, I plan on becoming a software engineer and creating products that will have a positive impact on people’s lives. I enjoy playing ice hockey and watching Chicago and Clemson University sports teams.
